MY TESTIMONY

Hi, lovely to have you here! My name is Emma.

My journey through faith happened only recently in 2024 - I am a Baby Christian, if you will! If you had told me years ago that that I would have found Jesus years later, and started up a Christian Clothing brand - I would have laughed in your face and not believed you.

I always believed in "something" higher but I never really knew what that was. I spent years playing with crystals and all things witchy and spiritual - never feeling fulfilled. It never felt enough.

After 33 years of claiming that The Bible was a "made up book" by a group of people a couple of thousand years ago - I met Connor, the love of my life. Connor was a new Christian when I met him, and I took an interest in how someone with such a logical and intelligent mind could believe in such a "made up" thing - Boy was I wrong! I first started looking into the Christian Faith, to learn more about him, and understand why it had such a positive impact on him. But what I didn't know was that this was going to start me on my own journey.

I was recommended the book 'Case for Christ' by a friend, and I couldn't believe the overwhelming evidence that there is out there that the Bible stories are real, and that Jesus really was who He said He was. How could I have been so dismissive about a faith that I'd never truly wished to learn about, and a book that I'd never even read!

As a former "witch" and self proclaimed spiritualist, this shook up my world. What should I do now? I knew I couldn't deny the things I'd learnt - But honestly there were issues and questions that I have had to fight through. So Connor and I started going to a local Baptist Church - And as soon as we stepped through that door we'd never felt so welcome anywhere. The people were genuinely happy to see you arrive, it was a real community. The positive atmosphere, the songs we sung and praised to. It felt like home.

My faith has become stronger and stronger ever since - From the music I listen to (Phil Wickham is a personal fave), to the shows I watch, to the news I hear - My life has gotten so much better since I decided to follow Jesus.

I have a lot to learn, and I am still new to Christianity, but my life is filled with so much more meaning now. I am still the same old me, I still have the same values. I just have more hope and reason!
